Roberts Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Pryor, KNOWS the car business! His story actually starts in 1966. Herb Roberts, Scott’s Dad, was living a comfortable life in the Oklahoma City area flying for one of the major airlines, after his tour of duty in the Marines. Herb spent time at his family’s flower shop when not flying and had developed a friendship with a gentleman who owned a used car lot located next to the shop.

Leaving his usual coffee shop one day he noticed a familiar car in an unfamiliar place. He approached the man and asked "what he was doing driving that funny Datsun?" The man was surprised that he knew what the car was, so Herb went on to explain he had been a pilot in the Marines and spent a lot of time in Japan and that Datsuns were used primarily as taxi cabs there. The man with the Datsun told Herb they were in town looking for someone to "peddle" those cars. Herb called up his buddy from the used car lot and a few days later they were partners with the rights to the Datsun dealerships in Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Dallas, TX.

Scott worked for his dad all through High School. Learning the business from the bottom to the top, Scott detailed cars, ran parts and wrote service tickets. Upon graduating from Oklahoma State University Scott moved to Dallas and worked for his dad’s former business partner, now called Nissans, Scott was quite comfortable selling the vehicles he had grown up with. He saw what it was like selling cars in one of the largest car markets in the country and learned what it really takes to be a GOOD salesman.

Honesty and integrity are paramount with Scott Roberts. He tried of the “cut throat” car market and moved back Oklahoma City in order to master his profession. And master it he did, Scott attended the NADA Dealer Program-this is akin to obtaining a Masters Degree in the car industry. While working for his dad in OKC he earned the distinction of Executive Manager with Nissan, other difficult and prestigious certification, all while being one of the top salesmen at the dealership!

So, if you are wondering if this man is qualified to run a successful, trustworthy and professional dealership….You bet he is!
